Nya Hotel

We only went to the restaurant, not the hotel, and had dinner there last night. It was the best meal we had in Montzuma, both in quality and presentation. Service was great as well. If you care about good food, this is the spot.

I'm pretty picky and don't usually leave reviews, but we had a really nice few nights at the NYA Hotel. The room was budget-friendly, clean, and the sheets and towels smelled fresh. Every night, room service also left us a complimentary dessert 😋 The restaurant felt like the food was made with care, and it was tasty and clean, which matters a lot to me. They brought crispy bread with cheese spreads while we waited for the main courses, then let us try fruit ice cream for dessert, on the house. The waiters were very friendly, especially Arturo. He's welcoming, makes delicious non-alcoholic cocktails, and can suggest one to match your taste.

The grounds were so serene, with monkeys, coati, aguti and other wildlife around, and the pool was great. Yoga was followed by a top notch breakfast from Jose and Artúro. Damien led a great yoga class, and Michelle served great juices in the evening. On our last morning in 2021, when we were staying at an airbnb in Montezuma with my wife, we had breakfast here and decided we'd stay here when we came back. María Jose at reception was helpful and informative, and suggested we see a nearby turtle release, which was great. Estaban and María Jose also helped arrange transport to our next destination. I highly recommend Nya hotel for time in Montezuma. We'll be back and hope to stay longer. Thanks to the cleaning staff and groundskeeper staff, too. Keep up the great work!

I loved having a balcony room facing the jungle. At night it was lovely to hear the rainforest, and I saw a bunch of monkeys while swimming on my first evening. I swam every day, even though the pool could probably use a daily netting to clear the leaves. I had three wonderful nights here, with a welcome dessert and another on my last night, both pleasant surprises left in the room. Everything is within walking distance, including the waterfalls.
