The Nomadic Hotel

The breakfast was delicious, the staff attentive, and the coffee drinks were excellent. One small suggestion: it would help to show how the housekeeping “coins” break down by currency. The Nomadic has a lovely, simple look and a relaxed feel, and it’s just a few minutes’ walk from the beach and nearby restaurants. I liked that there were no TVs in the rooms, which made it easier to unplug. I had a lovely stay and would come back.

The breakfast could use more choice. There was no menu, just one set option each day, usually fried and not very healthy, so we skipped it a few times and looked elsewhere for something lighter. Still, we had a great stay at Nomadic. It’s peaceful, with a nice layout and beautiful shared spaces. We used the bikes and yoga classes, and really appreciated the staff upgrading us to a room with a bigger bed. We’d still recommend it.

The staff were the best part of the hotel. They were lovely people, helped with recommendations around the country and the area, and let me practice my Spanish. Muchas gracias Mariela, David, Levi y Cynthia!! Hasta Luego!! Their kindness made my stay incredible. I came for seven nights earlier this February to relax and recharge, and that’s exactly what I did. I loved the breathwork with Crystal and Mitch and yoga with Sarah. Crystal also offers massage and reiki, and she is AMAZING, I strongly recommend her. I stayed in the dorm, which is expensive for a dorm, though still a good deal for Nosara since everything there costs a lot. The people I met were all lovely and laid-back, mostly in their late twenties and thirties. I loved the pool, hammocks, and patio. Breakfast was the weak spot: the burrito and pancakes were really good, but the other options less so. Given the price, it’s a shame there weren’t at least two or three choices each day. A fridge where guests could store food would have been nice too.

The Nomadic is in a great spot, with restaurants and the beach all within walking distance. The complimentary breakfast each morning was a lovely extra. Rooms, pool, and the rest of the space were all perfect. The experience was absolutely the best, 10/10.
