We waited 20 minutes after sending back French Toast that was raw in the middle, and left before it was ready. Asking for it to be cooked again meant going to the end of the line while other orders were made. Pretty disappointing to get such low meal standards at a luxury resort. Hope your experience is better than ours.

We loved how peaceful the pool was for sunset and relaxing, and the spa massages were excellent. The spa suite itself was roomy, clean, comfortable, and nicely set apart in its own area. El Castillo feels tucked into the jungle, though great restaurants, beaches, and activities are only minutes away. It's a small, lovely boutique hotel, and it was hard to leave. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We had breakfast each morning, plus a wonderful lunch and dinner, and the menu clearly came from talented hands. The staff were so welcoming. Francisco, Donny, and Roxy were always there when we needed anything.

The pool was beautiful, and the whole place had a calm, refreshing feel. Our suite was spacious and comfortable, and the views from the location were picture perfect. The staff were friendly, attentive, and worked well as a team. The current chef's food was top notch, with a great choice of wine and spirits. We'd definitely come back.

The views are amazing, and the quiet atmosphere made it easy to relax during the day. We came back for our second stay in three years and were blown away by the hospitality. Donny, Francisco, and the newly appointed kitchen staff were among the people who made it special. There are good room options, high class dining, and an incredible complimentary breakfast. It's close to amenities, though having a vehicle makes getting around easier. If you want a quiet, quaint luxury experience in Costa Rica, look no further. 10 out of 10, would recommend. You need to see it to believe it.

We planned one night and ended up staying two. The view is amazing, and the accommodations are first class. You're right next to Ojhachal and just minutes from Uvita, though the hill drive to get this kind of view is short. The food is so good there's no reason to leave. Big thanks to the chef. Francisco, Roxanne, and Michele picked up on our preferences quickly and were incredibly accommodating. The support staff were amazing too. Everyone was fluent in English and Spanish, which made us feel right at home. Service is exceptional. Great staff.
