Villa Diosa del Mar

The best part was simply spending time at the villa, especially for the kids, who loved the pool, and exploring the beautiful beach. The concierge team arranged tours we all enjoyed, too. Our group of six adults and three little ones, ages five, three, and nine months, felt at home from the moment we arrived. The whole team was welcoming, and the owners have put so much care into the beautiful, comfortable house and its distinctive touches. It's a special place. Ask for Chef Laura if you go. Every meal she made was delicious, and we loved gathering in the lovely kitchen to eat. Thanks to Luca and the team for a wonderful family vacation. We'll definitely come back.

Petra made a big difference, helping with anything we needed and arranging excursions. She set up horseback riding and connected us with a local guide for a hike through her farm, which has been restored as a native ecosystem. We were also grateful to arrive and find the groceries already there. We got in late and had limited transport, so that took a lot of stress off. The house itself is beautiful, a magical retreat in paradise, with a great mix of indoor and outdoor living. The staff are fantastic, from Petra at the start of the stay right through to the end. I'd highly recommend this rental and hope to return.

The only real letdown was the jungle ATV tour booked by the concierge. It turned out to be driving on dirt roads alongside cars, a huge waste of time and money, and it made me question the value of concierge help with this kind of thing. Otherwise, the location was lovely, everything was very clean and comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and the pool was superb. Staff worked hard to keep the place clean all week. The host was very involved and answered questions or dealt with issues within minutes. We'd return, but we wouldn't use the concierge.
