Hostel Trotamundos

It was clean and good enough for my night before the airport. But I was worried about the electric showers. The green grounding wires were sticking out unconnected, with red warning tags still attached. I used the shower in a private room instead of the regular stalls because that one seemed to be grounded. Still, the wiring is very close to water and appears ungrounded, which seems dangerous. A power surge could kill someone, like using a hair dryer in a bathtub.

People were smoking in the central courtyard and gathering area, and the rooms are only a couple of meters away. That really took away from my stay. The place itself is cute, and the hosts are very nice. Breakfast was okay for the price.

I was hoping to get plenty of rest before my 10-hour flight the next day, but the bed was so uncomfortable that I barely slept. The shower had no hot water, and the room didn’t feel cozy at all. I could hear every conversation from the room next door. The staff weren’t very friendly either. It wasn’t a good experience.

It’s nothing special, but clean enough and handy for the airport, with a free shuttle. The kitchen could use a proper stovetop, and some drying towels would help.
