Villa Oceanis

We were sorry to leave after just four nights and wished we could have stayed four weeks. Even with less-than-ideal weather, we loved being away from the crowds, taking long beach walks, exploring, collecting shells, and watching the tide change. Petra was amazing and always available when we needed help, a first-rate concierge. There are a few local restaurants well worth trying. If you're after a special hideaway, this is it. The place was exactly as described, a stunning private paradise.

The location was wonderfully quiet, and though Villa Oceanis is small, it worked perfectly for two couples or a family. We spent two lovely weeks there. The villa is nicely equipped, and the owners offer a good selection of wines at reasonable prices. Having a washer and dryer on site and daily housekeeping was a real plus. Each evening we watched the sun set over the beach from our deck by the pool. A grocery store, several good restaurants, and other lovely beaches are just a short drive away. Petra, the house manager, was a terrific help with restaurant suggestions and arranging local outings. We chose the pre-provisioning option, so our groceries and cold beer were waiting when we arrived, along with a fantastic welcome fruit basket. She also arranged for Sibyl, a local chef, to cook several delicious meals. Petra told us about the local turtle sanctuary, where we saw 61 baby turtles being released. We've rented villas in several countries, and this was one of our best vacation spots. If you need more room, neighboring Villa Diosa Del Mar looks great and is also managed by Petra.
