We only stayed one night, while looking for somewhere better, and couldn’t get our money back for the first night. I’ve been in plenty of worn out hotels and hostels, but this was among the worst. The first room had stained sheets, brown dirty drips on the walls in several spots, mold, and a disgusting toilet and shower. The mini fridge was gross and left a puddle on the floor. The windows barely lock, and the door doesn’t close tightly. The second room was only a little better, with a moldy mattress and ripped sheets. When we complained, the man at the front desk more or less shrugged it off. Even by Appalachian Trail and Pacific Crest Trail thru-hiker standards, this place was filthy.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I want to warn people about this stay. There were insects, bugs, and lizards in the room, and the cleanliness overall was unacceptable. People shouting behind the hotel also made the place feel unsafe. There’s a sign outside showing $35/night, while Booking.com lists it online for $68/night. I canceled as soon as I saw the room and am now trying to get my refund. The whole experience was extremely disappointing, and I don’t think Booking.com should list properties like this because it hurts the platform’s quality and trust.

The place was disgusting, with bugs everywhere and black mold all over the bathroom. There was fecal matter on the fountain water slide too. I’ve sent several pictures and have tried contacting Booking several times to cancel and get a refund. Absolutely disgusting.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly. With the ocean and national park so close, it’s a great spot for an easy day in Manuel Antonio. If I go back, I’ll 100% stay at the COCO beach.

The room smelled so bad I couldn’t sleep, and the pool area was noisy from 7am until 11 pm. I booked two nights but left after one. Management wouldn’t refund the second night, even though I’d paid for it. Unless you’re absolutely broke, I’d go somewhere else.
