Cabinas La Tranquilidad

It was quiet, and the place looked nice, but that's about all I liked. The food was terrible and very poor quality. The blankets and pillows smelled awful, which made it really uncomfortable to sleep and left us seriously concerned about hygiene. I wouldn't recommend it.

Franco went way beyond what we expected. He joined my sons and me on a local morning fishing trip on his time off because we didn't speak Spanish, guided us, cleaned the fish we caught, and the resort cooked it for dinner. Delicious! Steven was also a big help and shared lots of useful local information. The staff were always available and helpful during our four-night family stay. It's a remote spot, but that made it peaceful and quiet, with miles of beach to ourselves. The grounds were well kept, the pool stayed clean, and the food was great. We also loved seeing the local monkeys and iguanas. A two-star resort giving five-star service!

The bungalow's outdoor kitchen was great, and we'd stay here again, or possibly at another hotel along this stretch. The area is beautiful, the beach feels almost private, and the grounds are lovely, though it's a bit of a drive to get there. The room had lots of ants and could use a deep clean. It also lacked shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, and towels for the dishes. Staff were friendly about bringing the things we needed, except for the shampoo, conditioner, and dish soap. Dinner wasn't good and took almost two hours to arrive. Breakfast was good, although they tried to charge us for it even though it was included with the room.

We planned on staying one night, but liked it so much we extended our visit. On the lovely, remote but accessible beach at Palo Seco, this place feels like a quiet oasis. The accommodation is simple and practical, without unnecessary frills, so you can really take in the ocean and the coconut lined beach. Steven was welcoming and attentive, and served us a delicious breakfast.
