Hotel Delfin Playa Bejuco

The bar and food really impressed me, especially considering how small the staff is. This hidden gem exceeded my expectations when I came to visit a friend who had stayed here several times. The rooms, pool, and dining area were all very clean and professional. At the front, there’s a nice bar that’s both indoors and outdoors. It’s especially good in rainy season, since you can enjoy the rainforest atmosphere without getting rained on. Local expats and neighbors often visit, but it isn’t a party bar. The staff speak very good English and are friendly and jovial. The hotel is a peaceful, relaxing place outside the noise of busier cities like San Jose and Jaco. The beach is clean and well kept. I’d recommend it for families or a romantic getaway, but not for bachelor parties or rowdy crowds.

We’ve stayed here twice and plan to come again. It’s a peaceful, relaxing hotel beside a lovely stretch of beach. Every room has a beach-facing balcony, and there are lounge chairs and umbrellas on the sand. The rooms are clean, the beds aren’t too hard, and the A/C is great. The restaurant serves good fish and seafood.

David, Eduardo, Javier, and Sandra made our trip memorable with outstanding service at this lovely, quaint hotel. Along the way, we also met wonderful local people who were hospitable and full of useful information. The country is beautiful, with so much to learn and do. We’d highly recommend a visit. This is a beautiful colonial hotel that’s 60 years old, a short distance from Playa Bejuco. The rooms feel dated and worn, though they were clean. I’d definitely have returned if the food had been better.
