Hotel Amira

The pool was lovely and large, and I didn’t notice any loose tiles. From earlier reviews, it sounds like the tiles may have been refinished. My room was spacious, clean and had a hot shower. The only thing missing was a hot water kettle. I loved staying at the Amira hotel and only wish I’d booked more than one night. I hope to come back!

We’d definitely consider staying at Hotel Amira again. It was one of our favorite places on our trip to Costa Rica, with clean, comfortable rooms and a lovely feel to the grounds and pool. The small boutique hotel has useful touches, including a drying rack in the shower for swimsuits and another portable one in the room. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and helped us arrange day trips and activities. Our family enjoyed the delicious breakfast included with the stay. The location was great too, on a quiet street within a short walk of a local coffee shop and soda with great food. Playa Carrillo is a few minutes away by car, and Playa Samara is about a 15 minute drive.

The staff were super friendly and helpful with booking tours. Our room was spacious and clean, and the location was lovely, very close to the beach. It’s a five minute drive to Samara beach, where there are more shops and restaurants.

We saw all sorts of beautiful birds around the grounds, including scarlet macaws, and the pool was a lovely extra in the hot weather. It was clean, though some of the tiles were coming loose, and lots of families with children were enjoying it. The hotel itself is quiet, clean and modern, in a tiny town near a stunning beach. The staff were kind and helpful, and the rooms were large, clean and comfortable. It’s a 15 minute walk to one of the loveliest beaches in Costa Rica. A great base for enjoying the area.
