The food was a real highlight, from tasty snacks to dinners, and the chef made everything with obvious skill. Ana gave us such a warm welcome that we can easily picture coming back. We spent three nights in the villa, which had lovely rooms, a practical kitchen, a pool, and beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Our family usually picks a different part of the world for each vacation and only returns somewhere to visit family or friends, but this stay changed that. The peaceful natural setting will stay in our memories.

We watched the sunset by the pool every evening, and the peaceful forest setting and view made the hotel feel like a little private retreat. The drive up is steep and unpaved, so you need a suitable vehicle, but we thought it was worth it. We were there for four nights on our honeymoon, and for three of them we were the only guests. The staff still made us feel so welcome. Our room was modern and very clean, and I especially liked the balcony. The food was my favorite part: fresh, homemade meals, with bread and pasta made from scratch. We even asked for dishes that weren't on the menu, and the chef came through each time. The management team made the stay memorable. We loved it and will definitely return.

Anna at the desk was so sweet, and the breakfast was really good. The room was comfortable, the AC worked well, and we had a lovely view of the mountain and beach. The sunsets here are amazing. I can't think of anything bad to say about Alma de Ojochal. I absolutely recommend it ❤️

Anna was a wonderful host, and the lunches and dinner we had there were delicious. The hotel is small, with a cozy, intimate feel, and there's a nice pool and a little restaurant. Breakfast was included in the price. We stayed two nights and loved the view of the lush forest with the ocean behind it, especially for sunset photos. Thanks for making our stay so pleasant!

We were greeted by a toucan and monkeys in the trees on arrival, and the hotel has a breathtaking view of the sunset. The welcome was incredibly warm, and the staff helped us book tours. We stayed for two days, and the food was fantastic. The chef puts so much care into every dish. It was some of the best food and one of the best hotels we had in Costa Rica. Thanks for the delicious tapitas. I'd definitely come back!
