The garden feels like a little jungle, with lots of birds and animals, and there's also access to the river if you want fresh air under the trees. Our cabin was spacious, comfortable, super clean, and had a nice view of the garden and pool. The pool is lovely for cooling off and relaxing. The beach is just a few minutes away by car, with plenty of nice restaurants around the lodge. The hosts were welcoming and gave us useful recommendations and tips.

Emilie and Jess were welcoming and helpful, and their connections with good tour companies made it easy to plan our stay. We tried their suggestions for Corcovado, Caño Island diving, and horseback riding, and weren't disappointed by any of them. They also pointed us to places to eat, from typical local food to fancier cuisine. The lodge is a real gem on the Pacific coast, whether you want to relax by the pool and enjoy the wildlife in the garden or head out for activities. We stayed a week and would definitely return if we visit Costa Rica again.

The grounds are beautiful and nicely landscaped, the pool is lovely, and the rooms are cozy and charming. If you're lucky, you might spot caïmans swimming nearby in the river beside the property or in the little pond next to the pool. The lodge is a very peaceful place in Ochojal, run by a lovely young French family. I highly recommend it for a day or a few on Costa Rica's Southern Pacific Coast. Pura vida!

We loved our lodge and the peaceful setting. From the pool we were lucky enough to spot dozens of Toucans and parrots. So many great memories!
