The pool and the area around it were peaceful and relaxing. The beach is nearby, though we didn't go there. It's an easy bike ride to town, where there are a market and sodas. The rooms and kitchen were clean, with glasses, plates, pots and pans, and cleaning supplies. Our host Alicia was patient with our Spanish, welcomed us, and brought us coffee in the morning.

Lady Jenny was such a sweetheart, charming, helpful, and great with people. The workers' care and attention made us feel so welcome. The suite was clean and well equipped with AC, a full bathroom, and TV. The charming property also has a pool, gym, parking, garden, and outdoor kitchen. I strongly recommend staying here and will certainly encourage friends to stop by!

The best part was how much the owners helped us when we had serious car trouble. They connected us with all sorts of local contacts, which ultimately helped solve our issues. It's a great small lodge, with a little pool, adequate parking, and a shared cooking area. The rooms have AC, a fridge, and a small counter for food prep.

For 130 USD, this felt quite expensive for a hotel in Costa Rica. The facility was clean and well maintained, and the pool was wonderful, but the bathroom was dingy, the beds were hard, and there was no hot water. At that price, no breakfast or coffee?!?

The open kitchen, with its appliances and silverware, made for a nice semi-communal stay, and we appreciated having comfortable lodging alongside an authentic Costa Rican experience. We stayed at Hotel Coyote toward the end of July 2024 and look forward to returning to explore more of the area. Alicia is professional and considerate, and keeps the facilities exceptionally clean. After a hot day, the room AC was great, as was the impeccably clean pool. Hotel Coyote is a lovely place to stay, and I highly recommend it.
