The host, Francine, was fantastic, and we really felt at home. It’s a quiet beachfront spot with lovely sunset views and lots of wildlife around. It’s also a great place to see sea turtles. Ask about Latin American Sea Turtles organisation, which runs educational tours and lets you volunteer for a day or two. We hope we can return!

The price might look attractive, but don’t be taken in. You can hear everything from the other rooms, guests snoring, eating, talking, even whispering. The owner lives on the property with her family, and she’s too loud. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

We’ve loved our time here. It’s right by the sea and peaceful, with so many different animal species to spot. There are a few nice restaurants nearby, plus a little shop where you can get water, beer, or other things you might need. Breakfast is available too, which is great.
