The grounds are beautiful and well kept, and the pool was a good fit for young children because it was shallow enough for them to stand comfortably. Our daughter especially loved the kids club. The staff member there was wonderful and even did her hair. The three restaurants that require reservations were excellent, with delicious food and great service. We had a very mixed stay here with our children. The buffet wasn't great, and some items seemed to be reused from earlier days. The entertainment was good, but almost all in Spanish with no English explanation, so we often left early because we couldn't follow it. There isn't much to do nearby without a car, and the rooms have neither balconies nor mini fridges. If the website had made that clear, I wouldn't have booked here with young kids. Language was a serious problem. Very few staff spoke English, and when our son became very sick and had trouble breathing, we urgently needed help getting him to the hospital but couldn't make ourselves understood. It was frightening and stressful for our family. The room issue also affected our stay. Our first room smelled strongly of mold, and maintenance only sprayed Febreze, which didn't help. We explained our son's health issues and that mold wasn't acceptable for him, but it didn't seem to be taken seriously until my husband repeatedly raised the concern. We were eventually moved, though the second room still had a milder mold smell. The resort is beautiful and has real positives, but the room problems, language barriers, and lack of support during a medical emergency made this a difficult experience. It's better suited to Spanish-speaking guests.

We stayed for 10 days in February 2026. The outdoor areas were lovely and well maintained, the food was great, and many staff in the restaurants and maintenance areas were good. But we won't stay at Fiesta again or recommend it. There were a lot of local families and young children while we were there, apparently during the local summer holidays. For a more relaxing stay, I'd avoid January and February here. The adult pool wasn't skimmed during the day, so debris fell from the trees and stayed in the water. Only one of the three sinks worked in the women's bathroom by the adult pool, and one of its three toilets had no seat. The adult pool bar still didn't open before 5:30 PM, even though another guest had suggested three weeks earlier that it should open earlier. Other details made things frustrating. We were locked out of our room a day early, and the bathroom was outdated. The safe failed twice. The administration staff all seemed new and not very knowledgeable, so we had to ask someone else in the office for answers. When we asked a man at the buffet for a container to take lunch on a tour, he said we couldn't have one. The hallway to the spa was closed with no sign to show the alternate route, and I had to ask a bellboy in the lobby to show me. There was no Wi-Fi in the 3,000 block of rooms, not even on the balcony. We were told it had been that way for some time, but nobody mentioned it at check-in.

The food was good and the pool area was clean, though more shaded spots with loungers would have helped. But I wouldn't call this a four- or five-star property unless you're in Building 3, the Premuim section. It's in the middle of a major renovation. Building one seems to be timeshare, while Building 2 is old and in poor condition, and that's where travel companies place their all-inclusive guests. See pics. We had a Junior suite with a pool view. There was no balcony, the windows were dirty and wouldn't open, and no cups were provided for the coffee maker. I'd recommend booking directly with the resort to get a Premium room, which has a balcony.

This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had, and my second stay here will absolutely be my last. The check-in line and chaos were still there two days later, as the second picture shows. I strongly don't recommend this hotel. We waited over two hours just to check in, while each group ahead of us took 15-20 minutes. That's completely unacceptable. At virtually every other hotel I've stayed at around the world, check-in takes one to three minutes. Guests looked frustrated and distressed, with no clear explanation, organization, or resolution. We spoke with management more than an hour earlier, but nothing had been done and there were no meaningful updates. The lack of urgency, communication, and basic customer service was astonishing. It showed serious mismanagement and disregard for guests' time. I'll attach photos of the line and chaos.

2026 01 29, I'm a Canadian just back from two weeks here. The weather, resort upkeep, room cleaning, and pools were good. The beach, repetitive food, and young family atmosphere with lots of kids were downsides. Diego at the swim-up bar was friendly and hardworking, and Juan Louis at the snack bar and Yandy (sorry for the spelling) in the buffet dining room also deserve a shout out. The bar by the adult pool should open before 5pm. You need a rental car, by the way.
