New Caribe Point

I loved winding down at night in the hammock on my villa porch, listening to the birds and some monkeys. The place was peaceful and beautiful, and the pool and gardens were immaculate. I also loved the routine of rinsing off at the parrot shower, then swimming in the clean, warm pool. There were two adorable cats and a puppy, and a black sand beach just a two-minute walk away, with restaurants nearby. My room was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed to cook or store and reheat leftovers. The air conditioning worked great when I used it at night. The hosts were friendly, sweet, kind, and caring, and I appreciated all the effort they put into making the villas feel homey, peaceful, and comfortable. They also had contact details in the room for a nearby masseuse who could come to the room or meet me on the beach. She was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend this place!

The owners are among the loveliest people you'll meet, and I had a wonderful, relaxing stay at New Caribe Point. My cabin had great privacy, as did the others, though I was the only guest, so I had the whole place to myself. There’s a pool, jacuzzi, and shared laundry and air dryer, and the cabin had all the amenities. I also used the shower by the pool to wash off beach sand, and their cleaning schedule worked fine for me. One very specific highlight: the shower and toilet paper were the best I came across in Costa Rica. If you know, you know. NCP is a gem in Cahuita, and I hope to return someday.

The staff were lovely, and breakfast was great at this very nice hotel. My only small annoyance was the shower's rather poor water pressure.

The pool was great, and we enjoyed relaxing in the two hammocks outside. I also used the coffee machine every day. The family-run hotel had roomy bungalows with two spacious bedrooms and supplied beach towels. We could use a shared washing machine and air-dry our clothes on a line, since there was no dryer. They dried in under a day thanks to the great weather. My main complaint was that room cleaning was only offered every three days, although I managed to arrange it every two. With kids and beach trips, we brought a lot of sand back into the apartment, so daily cleaning should be offered. I would recommend staying here if you're visiting Limon.
