I only had one night in Quepos while heading south, and although I missed the local sights, the stay itself was comfortable. The hostel hostess spoke English, waited for me when I arrived in the evening, helped with parking, showed me around, and was very friendly. The clean room had high ceilings, a comfortable bed, air conditioning, and a fan. There was plenty of cookware in the kitchen, so you could heat food or cook, and laundry service was available. A supermarket is close by, and there’s a food court with local cuisine and live music in the evening. Recommended! The one downside was a strong smell of cleaning products in the bathroom.

Such a lovely cottage, with lots of charm. It was clean and cozy, and the owners were so welcoming and kind. We had a wonderful time staying in their home.

We stayed three days. Casa Quepos is a basic, clean place to sleep while you’re out on tours, with the essentials: hot showers, air conditioning, fans, a fridge, and a kitchen area. There’s secure parking if you’ve rented a car, and breakfast is available for an extra charge. The central location is handy for tour pickups, near a main bank, and within walking distance of downtown, shops, and restaurants.

William was quick to respond and a great host. His back apartment was comfortable and clean, just what we needed as a base for seeing Quepos and Manuel Antonio. There’s a good supermarket around the corner and several excellent restaurants nearby. Thanks for showing me cas, William!

We stayed with William and Olga for a week in Quepos through the Manuel Antonio Spanish School, and I can’t recommend it enough. The family made us feel so welcome, and Coco the dog was a lovely bonus. Olga’s food was a highlight. She made different regional dishes for breakfast and dinner, and everything was delicious. I also joined one of her very hands-on cooking classes, where we made a ton of food. Our room was clean, and it was the first place in CR where I didn’t get bitten a lot at night. Being able to use the kitchen also meant we could make our own lunches.
