Hotel Colibri

The pool was a lovely place to spend a couple of hours each day, and there's a bar there too. Dani was welcoming at check-in, and we found the room spacious and mostly clean. The bathroom was especially clean, which matters to me, and the air conditioning worked. There was a strong musty smell and the walls in our room could use some attention, but the owners responded when I raised the smell. With affordable Ubers, taxis, and a bus stop nearby, getting around is easy even without a rental car. We had a really good stay for the price.

The manager was friendly and let us leave our things there after checkout, and the room was clean. Still, we found small roaches in the bathroom at night, and the curtains didn't cover the windows properly. Since our room was near the entrance, people could see inside. There are monkeys climbing around in the trees nearby, which was pretty cool, and Manuel Antonio National Park is about a 10-minute drive away.

The highlight was watching the monkeys. They live in a tree across the road, and while we were there a troop crossed by the pool and went up onto the hotel roof. The staff were all friendly and helpful too. It's a cute little place with clean rooms, a pool and small bar, and good food. Manuel Antonio is around 10 minutes away.

I spent a month here while volunteering, and the staff were wonderfully helpful and accommodating. The rooms were clean, the air conditioning was a relief from the heat, and the pool was refreshing on hot days. It's also conveniently close to the bus stop. The owner was friendly and around often. I'd happily recommend a stay here.
