The rooms were roomy, and the kitchens and bathrooms had everything we needed. We also met some cool people staying there while hanging out by the pool. The beach is a quick walk away, with shops and restaurants very close too. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in Costa Rica.

Heidy, the onsite manager, was quick to respond and really helpful. She arranged airport transportation, our guided tours, and local suggestions accurately and conveniently. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable, with cold air conditioning, clean water, and a lovely pool. We even saw animals just outside the door, since the property sits in the jungle. Town was just a quick car or bus ride away, with plenty of great restaurants and activities. I highly recommend Jungle Creek, and the staff can help you plan your Costa Rican vacation.

Jungle Creek felt like a wonderful little oasis. The property is beautiful, the pool lovely, and the accommodations well appointed. We saw sloths, macaws, toucans, spider monkeys, and lizards, and had a great time. Paula arranged excellent excursions and spa visits for us. Whether we wanted restaurant suggestions or needed a coffee grinder, she showed us gracious, unmatched hospitality. Five stars don't cover how satisfied we were. Maybe our best holiday since having kids, maybe our best ever. Thank you!

We had to check out two days early, and the owner never apologized or offered to compensate us for even one or two nights. There wasn't even a follow-up message. That's what made the problems especially frustrating. The room smelled of mold as soon as we walked in. The bedspreads looked unwashed, and the AC dripped on our heads for two nights. We reported it after the first night; the owner said the manager would handle it, but nothing changed. We got no sleep the second night and our pillows were wet and moldy. Our son's room also leaked, soaking his bag and clothes. We tried to do laundry, but both washers were broken, even though staff sent us from one to the other. Things go wrong, we understand that, but there are so many other nice, affordable places around here. Go somewhere else.

Replying to the owner's response to my review: with all due respect, texting Hiedi "okay thanks" does not mean I was satisfied with the outcome. Denying there's an active mold problem won't make it disappear. Recognizing there is a real issue is the first step to fixing it. We only saw Heidi on arrival; after that, all communication was by text. If you think you have staff onsite full time every day, you may want to check that. Staff are not there every day. I hope this review helps you understand what's happening in your business. Clearly, it hasn't. I hope future guests read this and avoid the place. Don't risk your health. We stayed at Dos Palmas in July. Heidi showed us around the villa when we arrived, and there was a strong mold smell as soon as we entered. After unpacking, we found what looked like active mold on the walls and called Heidi right away. She said cleaners had scrubbed the walls two days earlier, mold was common in Costa Rica, and they'd clean them the next day. The next day Heidi texted that the active mold I had found was concrete. As the photos show, it wasn't concrete. It was on the lamps, shower walls, and other walls. There were dead bugs on the walls, live bugs on the plates, ants in the microwave, and dirty towels. The pillow cover smelled oily and seemed not to have been washed in a while. I looked for somewhere nearby, but everything was booked. The previous one-star Jungle Creek review described the reality of the place. I don't think it even deserved one star.
