La Vela Boutique Hotel

The local common basilisk and common lizard came by and were very tame. We saw plenty of Capuccine monkeys on the road to the NP, but none came to bother guests here. It’s a secluded, beautiful spot, with the beach 200m away, the National park 500m away, and plenty of restaurants just a short walk away. This is a great little boutique hotel that lives up to the good reviews. The place is spotless, the staff are super helpful and friendly, and the room was perfectly good for a couple. Breakfast was fine, with enough choice for everyone. And yes, the pizza is very good, made fresh in the wood fired oven by the pool.

The staff were kind, attentive, and always ready to help, which made us feel really welcome. The pool was a great place to relax in the afternoons after visiting the park or beach, and we enjoyed the restaurant too. The wood-fired pizza was delicious, and the cocktails were very well made. We stayed at La Vela Boutique in Manuel Antonio two weeks ago and were very pleased. Its location is ideal, just a short walk from the National Park and the beach, so it was easy to enjoy the area. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. We also loved the well-kept gardens and the tropical feel around the property. Walking through the grounds or relaxing by the pool surrounded by nature was one of the best parts of our stay. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of fresh variety, served in a pleasant setting. La Vela Boutique has a great location, comfortable rooms, lovely gardens, good food, and excellent service. We’d definitely recommend it and hope to come back.

The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the bed was comfortable. The pool was nice, too. We booked a couple of excursions through the hotel. Since it’s close to both the beach and National park, it worked well for us. We used shuttles for excursions and didn’t go into town.

There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby, some within walking distance and others reached by car, taxi, or the beach shuttle. The beach is a quick five-minute walk away, and they have beach towels available. We had poolside breakfast, with continental grab-and-go options and other items cooked to order. We missed happy hour, but went for a swim in the pool on our last night. It’s a lovely boutique hotel surrounded by beautiful plants and trees. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious. The team even left a birthday card and wine for me, which was very sweet. They’ll hold your room key so you don’t lose it while you’re out.
