Cabañas Lamaite

We liked it so much that we're staying longer. The garden and pool are a delight, and the kitchen is great for cooking. We’re here with two young kids, and the room is well furnished. The design has a playful feel but still works as a solid hotel, with thoughtful details inside and out. Everything is so well built and maintained. Definitely recommend it.

We only planned one night while passing through town, then ended up staying longer because relaxing by the pool was so nice. It’s a cute, owner-run place, tucked away from the usual path and felt safe and homey. Breakfast is included, and there are bikes and surfboards available too.

Breakfast was my favorite part. It changed each day and was homemade by the owner, a lovely, very friendly woman who didn’t speak any English. The banana bread on our last morning was incredible. It’s a small hotel with just a few rooms, so the pool never felt crowded. Our room was adorable and cozy, with a ceiling fan and air conditioning. The bathroom was just big enough, though the water pressure was almost nonexistent. That didn’t bother us much since we spent most of our time in the pool or at the beach. The place is about an 8 minute drive from the centre of town in Samara, a little off the path but well worth it. We saw couples, families, groups of friends, and solo travellers there. I’d highly recommend it for a visit to Samara, though it’s probably not the spot if you’re hoping to meet lots of people.

Maite and Mikel were great hosts, and I’d happily return to Lamaite. The included breakfast was amazing, and Miate's cooking hand is something I’ll remember. There are tasteful decor touches all over the property, and it’s a great value for the price. I recommend this place very much.
