Aparta Hotel Altos de la sabana

There was only one towel in a room meant for two, and the shower screen is too short to keep water off the floor. The shower itself was good. At night, loose ceiling parts vibrated in the wind, and the bed dipped in the middle. The room was otherwise fine.

The only real downside was hearing footsteps from the room above. Still, for what I paid, I'd give it five stars. The room was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was really good. We stayed one night, which was enough for San Jose, where there isn't much to do.

The owners were so sweet that they brought me a huge breakfast in bed as a lovely surprise. I liked the place enough to extend my stay. The apartments have just been remodeled, and the fourth floor is hotel rooms. Mine was clean and nicely put together. It's right by the big park at sabana, which makes the location great.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms are decent for the price. But if your window faces the main road, sleep is pretty much out of the question. The traffic light beeps until morning, and you can't close the windows.
