I was here as part of a G Adventures tour. It's an okay hotel, but some people in the group said they had roaches in their rooms. The location was awful and the area didn't feel safe. There was no AC, so the rooms got really hot.

The restaurant is the real highlight. In the evening it serves genuinely authentic Chinese food, including Sichuan dishes and northern favorites like Chinese flatbread with meat, knife-cut noodles, boiled dumplings, and steamed buns. It's an incredible find and worth seeking out even if you're not staying here. The hotel itself is decent, with a clean, nice pool and gardens.

The rooms were clean, but so dim and dingy I needed a flashlight to see into my suitcase. The carpet looks like it could be original. Around the pool, the patio furniture is very old and rusty. The hotel needs updates and attention.

This wasn't a Hyatt-style four-star stay, but it was among the more comfortable and clean places our group had during the 15-day tour. The bed was pretty comfortable, and there were nice towels, soap, hair products, and even a washcloth.
