The staff were the one bright spot, friendly and helpful. The garden could be pleasant, but it has no comfortable seating, and I felt in the way when I tried to sit there. Inside, the place feels deeply depressing: dark, damp, and without natural light. Some rooms have no window except an odd opening onto a shared hotel room, which made ours noisy and uncomfortable from a safety standpoint. There were no fans to move the air, and both the sinks and showers leaked. I'd avoid staying here.

Only two stars because some people in our group got nice rooms. We were 16 people and paid the same price, but our room was basically a closet. It had no proper window, no AC, a broken outlet, and a bathroom with no ventilation. There was nowhere to hang clothes, and the room's so-called window faced the corridor. Breakfast was very small too. Given that we all paid equally, this feels like another downside.

The rooms were clean and adequate, the staff were good, and the showers were good too. The location is reasonable, although it sits on a busy main road. Noise carries through the thin walls and doors. The biggest problem for me was the lack of daylight. Even the tiny garden, with only two chairs, is surrounded by tall buildings. It feels like a bunker, not a light, airy place.

The owners are really friendly, and the place is clean and cozy. It's close to several nice local bars and restaurants, so it worked well for a one-night stay. The walls are so thin that you can clearly hear the next room, and the train tracks outside are VERY noisy. Bring earplugs.
