Apartment Condominio Paradisus

The room and the view were both really nice, and I enjoyed staying at this Airbnb. There’s a little stream behind the complex that you can walk down to. My only issue was the security guard, who was short with me and rolled his eyes when I said I didn’t speak Spanish. Other than that, everything was great.

I used to give this place five stars too, and the older five-star reviews are absolutely fair for how it was. But things have changed a lot over the past few months, maybe a year. The views are beautiful, but the administration is very poor, and after only a few years the complex has become run down. The pool heater has been broken for over a year, leaving the water far too cold to swim in. The pool lights have also been out for more than a year, and there are only about 10 chairs for roughly 350 apartments. Some of those chairs are broken, and maintenance is inadequate. For a while now, the parking garage lights have stayed on until midnight. If your apartment faces that side, the bright white light pours straight in. Management told me to close my curtains, which means losing the lovely view or sitting with that huge glare from the garage. People have moved out because of how much light comes from it. Hot water used to feel like a real luxury here, but there is now practically none. Most of it is supposed to come from solar panels, but there seem to be far too few for so many apartments. You’re lucky to get a little lukewarm water. It’s really sad that a fairly new apartment complex has been managed so badly that it’s ended up like this.

A friend lives here, and it’s a great location. The place is well kept and very clean.

I had a really awful experience in this disgusting building, with terrible people. There are lots of gossipy women who stare at you and try to tell you what to do. They don’t listen, and they’re rude all the time, as if frustrated. There’s also an AirBnB woman who calls security over little things, like sunbathing being “FORBIDDEN.” Around the pool and throughout the place, there’s deterioration and oxidation. I CAN SEND A PHOTO OF THAT ANNOYING PERSON.
