Dobson Manor

I’m traveling overland through Central America, and my plans often change because the buses aren’t very reliable. At first I had to move my booking because Costa Rica wouldn’t let me in until I’d spent 7 days out of Colombia under the yellow fever rules. That change went fine. Later, my bus from Panamá City to San Jose was cancelled, and I thought I wouldn’t make it. To make things easier for them, I cancelled so they wouldn’t be waiting, but they still charged me the full price. I eventually got another bus and asked if I could still come, since I’d paid in full. They said I’d changed my plans too many times and they were full, although Airbnb still showed rooms available. They had the right to refuse my stay or keep the money. I just wish they’d shown a little understanding and tried to find a middle ground.

Lyle and Deborah went out of their way to make me feel at home, and they were extremely kind and friendly with dogs. Dobson Manor is a clean, safe, and very accommodating B&B. Five stars, thank you both.

I loved the place. The people were attentive and really friendly, and it’s a nice spot to rest in Costa Rica.
