It worked for an overnight stop before a flight, since there’s a free monitored lot for a rental car. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re mainly visiting Parque la Saban or don’t mind driving everywhere. The rooms feel outdated, with carpet that has a musty smell under the air freshener, and street noise comes through. It’s near Parque la Sabana, but not much else, so we drove for meals and attractions. The food on site didn’t impress me, and there weren’t many other places to eat within walking distance.

The breakfast was the highlight for me: fresh fruit, omelets, and everything tasted fresh. We also had a great view over the city and mountains from our clean, roomy 9th-floor room. The hotel is easy to reach from the airport, and there’s secure parking for a rental. Nights were quiet, though the AC made some noise. The bathroom was in excellent condition and had what we needed, including a hairdryer. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Across the street, there’s a small supermarket for snacks and drinks before long drives through CR. One downside, the hotel ATM charges a fee, unlike some others. BCR ATMs around the country are a better option.

Lucia was so warm and attentive, always smiling and ready to help, which made our stay memorable. The service in general was top-notch, and the 6th-floor room was gorgeous, with a modern, comfortable design and stunning views.

The room’s thermometer didn’t work. It kept blowing cold air, even on heat or vent, and twice I called room service for an item that was listed on the menu but was told it wasn’t available. I found the receptionist very rude, and the hotel felt overpriced. Water was $6 a bottle. There are much cheaper places with better service. I wouldn’t stay again.
