Loreana and JC were the highlight for us. They were warm and welcoming, always ready to listen, and put together an outstanding route through Costa Rica. They’re a great source of insider tips and background for anyone wanting to understand the country beyond the usual tourist stops. CasAguacate Hotel Boutique is spotless throughout, with rooms and shared spaces that are thoughtfully designed down to the details. It works well for solo travelers, couples, or larger groups. There are several separate spaces and rooms, so groups can have privacy and still spend time together. The location is peaceful and relaxing, yet only a short drive from the airport, which made arriving and leaving easy. We felt completely at home and would return in a heartbeat. A real hidden treasure, with our highest recommendation.

The hosts were very friendly, and the location worked well for the airport. Every room had air-conditioning, and the outdoor area was lovely. The apartment itself was fine, though it could use a refresh. The stove didn’t work properly, and one bedroom had nowhere to store clothes or personal belongings.

Loriana and her husband were so kind, attentive, and accommodating. They made sure we were comfortable and really looked after us. The property is in a gated community, so it felt safe and peaceful, and it was great value for what we paid. They speak perfect English too, which is helpful for travelers who don’t speak Spanish. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.

The quiet setting was a real pleasure, and the hospitality from the owners stood out. They were friendly and attentive and made sure we felt welcome. CasAguacate hotel Boutique is clean, well maintained, and very comfortable, so we felt at home right away. The price for what you get is excellent. We had a wonderful stay, would gladly return, and can absolutely recommend it.

I picked CasAguacate mostly for the price and how close it is to San José airport, a bit by chance, and that turned out wonderfully. My room was flawless for quality and comfort, but what I’ll remember most is how warmly and thoughtfully Loreana and her husband welcomed me. They even drove me to a shopping center for dinner and came back to collect me afterward. It’s in a safe, quiet neighborhood and was easily my best hotel stay in Costa Rica. I’ll be back this coming December.
