Hotel Milan Costa Rica

The breakfast was delicious, and there are convenient stores nearby. But our room flooded, and reception made a mistake with our booking, then said the client is complaining right in front of us. At checkout the receptionist was on her personal phone and ignored us. Staff need to improve their customer service.

For $40 a night, it was a nice enough stay, with AC in the room and an alright breakfast. The bed and pillows weren't the best, but they did the job. I'd stay a night or two, not longer. The staff were kind and helpful. My towels were torn, stained, and plainly dirty, so I took them to the front desk to exchange them. The nighttime concierge sorted it out without any trouble.

Andrei was a sweetheart, his customer service was 100%. I upgraded to a room with air conditioning and it was cozy, though the upgrade costs extra each day. If you're a light sleeper, this may not suit you. You hear noise between rooms, floors, and the hallway, plus the honking outside. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was delicious. San Jose isn't the nicest city, but the surrounding areas are beautiful.

The room was tiny, dirty, and unpleasant, and the way guests are treated shows clear negligence. The staff acted busy when they weren't, and spoke to me in a condescending, disrespectful way with no basic courtesy. This was my first impression just after check-in, and it was very disappointing. Terrible hotel by every standard. I honestly don't understand its three-star rating. I strongly recommend that management and booking platforms visit and see its condition for themselves.
