The Stay

It was conveniently located for both the airport and family. Street noise continued until 10pm. The elevated windows had no curtains, so light came in and there was no privacy.

The place felt really sketchy and unsafe, and the photos were catfish. The locks were a joke, there were no windows, and the beds were awful: a thin foam mattress on the upstairs floor and a crooked one downstairs. I was traveling with kids and had booked four nights, but the stairs made it feel unsafe for them, aside from the location. We checked out the next morning and politely asked whether we could negotiate a refund for the three remaining nights so we could afford another place. They said they would, if we paid another $50 upfront for the night on top of the $200 already charged, and said they'd eventually cancel and refund the charge. They never followed through and are now hiding behind their cancellation policy. That's the kind of people hosting your stay. Basically worse than the premises themselves. And those pool photos in their profile, lol, are from the juvenile rehab center across the street. I don't know why they'd include them in the profile. They also offer “parking” without telling you how much damage you'll have to do to your car to use it.

The building itself is nice, but the location felt a little sketchy. Some rooms are really small and can feel claustrophobic. There’s a private shower and a fan, but no air conditioning or elevator.

For the price, the small room was worth it, and the front desk was a big help. The nightlife isn’t close by, but I still had a nice time.
