The rooms are comfortable, but the location isn't great. There was no hot water, and after a long flight I really wanted a hot shower. They also don't let outside women into the nightclub anymore, so I had to find somewhere else to dance. It took two taxi rides before I found a place.

My husband and I had a great time staying here as a couple. Every staff member we met did a wonderful job, and the service was excellent. Our room was clean, quiet, and cozy, with immaculate towels and linens. The location is handy for walks in the park, shopping, museums, and good food. Try Chubbs Sports Bar and Restaurant down the street. There are lots of women there looking for company, which made for a cool cultural experience. We highly recommend it.

The bar and the downstairs area with the machines were great, though I never stayed in a room. I visited years ago on my first trip to Central America and had the best time, meeting some amazing people along the way. Hotel Del Rey is one of those places you have to see to believe.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location made it easy to get around town, with food nearby. My room was clean and nicely appointed, if a little dated. The AC stayed broken throughout my visit. They said someone would come fix it, but nobody did. I didn't follow up since it wasn't too hot, and I'd still stay here again.

There was no food or casino, and the place felt empty with nothing going on. Everything had moved to a spot about 10 blocks away, Taramino, and the rooms are still outdated. The hotel has changed owners since the original owner recently passed. As of last week, women are reportedly being barred from coming here. Avoid it, I'm serious.
