Nativus Art Hostel

This is an attractive, creative hostel, and the people are friendly, courteous, and helpful. The included breakfast was minimal but tasty, and I liked the coffee. The shower was hot, though the water pressure was sometimes very low. My Booking.com page said cards were accepted with payment at the property. At first the woman insisted I couldn't pay by card and strongly pushed for cash in USD, even though my reservation quote was in CRC. In the end she charged my card in USD, at the correct exchange rate. I had worried because other companies use a reversed exchange rate to raise the price, so I appreciated that she charged it honestly.

Quiet and clean, with a big, well-lit kitchen and a workout area stocked with yoga mats, rubber bands, and weights. They also offer laundry service and lent me a hair dryer when I needed one. It's an amazing hostel. Fans for the beds would have been nice, but otherwise it's perfect.

Breakfast was delicious, and I even got to try tamale. Our private room was lovely and really quiet. The place is run by such kind people. I’d happily recommend it.

There’s plenty close by, from groceries and a pharmacy to local restaurants and a couple of parks. Buses and Uber make it easy to get to different areas, too. The accommodations are simple, clean, and quiet, and our host was lovely and full of useful information.
