The host was incredibly helpful with planning my trip and sorting out transportation. There are grocery stores, restaurants, and little shops very close by. The room and kitchen were nice, well equipped, and had everything I needed. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it if you're staying in Monteverde!

They even used their 4x4 to help save us a parking space, and made it easy to book any excursions we wanted. The owners made a great breakfast each morning, and the place was close to town. Our room had enough space for us and the kids, and the hot water stayed hot. It was a great value, and we loved the stay. The cloud forest was beautiful and the zip lining was epic. Such a great time here!

They really went above and beyond with arranging transport and keeping in touch with me. Excellent host, and I'd happily recommend the place and team :-)

Parking could be a hassle: there are only three spots for the hotel, and we had to leave our car on the street above it. If not worrying about parking matters to you, this may not be the place. The staff were friendly, and having a bathroom in the room was great. The beds were very stiff, though, and the optional breakfast honestly wasn't worth the price.

Jeff's coffee tour was the best, don't miss it! This small, family-run hostel was clean, quiet, and in a great location, with lots of helpful information. Free coffee and tea are always available, the rooms are serviced like a hotel, and laundry is on site. It was amazing for solo travel or a small group, and they really take care of you. I'd stay again!
