Mar Inn Bed & Breakfast

The breakfast was really nice, and there are comfortable places to sit both inside and out, plus a pleasant bar. The rooms were very good, with comfortable beds, a lovely garden patio, and a great shower. It’s just a five-minute walk from the centre, yet quiet enough outside. Staff welcomed me warmly and helped book local attractions. Prices are very reasonable too. Fully recommend.

The guide to Monteverde they gave me at the start was awesome, and everyone was very friendly. My room was spacious and clean, with a good view, and the wifi was excellent. Breakfast was lovely, the price was competitive for the area, and the place felt very relaxed. They offered daily room cleaning. Had a great stay, would definitely recommend.

The view over Monteverde was lovely, and the sunsets were remarkable. We spent two weeks in Costa Rica and liked the mar inn so much that we came back at the end of the trip. Service was right on the mark, breakfast had a good variety, and the cafe stayed open late with a cozy feel. Most rooms had everything we needed, and when we asked for extra towels or blankets, the staff got them for us. Phenomenal place.

The room was a little dark, probably because of the tall trees, but the bed was comfortable and the hotel stayed quiet. The shower worked well, and the staff were generally friendly and responsive. Breakfast was basic, which made sense since it was included in the rate. The place makes an honest effort to offer decent accommodation, though things like the windows need maintenance. It’s somewhat overpriced, like most tourist area stays in CR, but not out of line with similar places.
