The walls are thin, so every now and then you can hear the neighbors, and the wind too if you're unlucky. We only stayed one night, and the hotel and staff were great. We arrived pretty late, but Freysi was helpful and gave us lots of information. Breakfast and coffee were nice :)

A nice nature walk and spots to hang out on the property made it easy to enjoy being there. It's a comfortable little place with good prices, just far enough from the busy area.

Nancy and her lovely family were the real stars of this place. We came as strangers and left as friends. The teenagers had fun conversations with us in their excellent English, and helped us express things we didn't know how to say in Spanish. Nancy arranged tours around our interests and was amazingly quick to answer us on WhatsApp. We happened upon Nafre House while looking for a convenient base for all the sights and activities in Santa Elena and Monteverde. Nancy greeted us in the office with a warm smile, then showed us the triple room she had available, exactly what we needed and hard to find. Breakfast was included for a very fair price, and it was generous and delicious. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, close to everything we wanted to do but just outside downtown's traffic and bustle. We have nothing but good things to say about this lovely little hotel.

It's a lovely place outside town, so getting there is a little farther. The staff are great and breakfast is really good :)
