Nangú Glamping Experience

The dome is a cool idea and the view is incredible, but there's not enough for a family to do there for a full day. We felt this would suit a couple wanting seclusion better. I booked after seeing reviews with lovely breakfast and view photos and expected a friendly welcome. Instead, nobody spoke with us and we arrived to find keys in the door. There was no food or breakfast at all, despite the listing saying breakfast was included. I hadn't packed enough because I expected the breakfast spread, so we lived on chips and ramen for two days. Those fresh food photos in the reviews don't reflect what was available for us. The road was the worst I've ever driven, and I grew up in the country with tractor-worthy bad roads. We asked our transportation to pick us up early because we wanted to enjoy our vacation, and this didn't feel like the place for a family. I regret bringing my family here. We should have stayed longer at the other amazing places we'd seen in Costa Rica.

The road in is bumpy, so you'll need a 4x4. We were greeted by a sweet cat and dog, probably the owner's pets, and the nature all around made the place even more charming. Birds were singing everywhere, the scenery was breathtaking, and we explored nearby trails and spotted a toucan. We stayed in the Duomo Guacimo near Monteverde and had an unforgettable time. It was clean, well equipped, and had an amazing view. There's even a net to lounge in and watch the sunset, which made it feel like a home away from home.

Two nights at Nancú, with nature and calm all around, felt like a dream date. The owner and his team were wonderful hosts. We had the canopy breakfast and early morning tour with them, and loved it. Thanks for having us, I wish I could give more stars 🥰

We zipped through the lines and tried the Tarzan swing, which was so cool to do without a huge group. The canopy breakfast, coffee, and fresh juices were delicious, and the upper net where we ate was lovely. The swings, deck, and view of the other dome were dreamy too. Bring bug spray and be ready for some wind. The drive in and out is steep and slow, as you'd expect. We spent two nights at Nangu, one in each dome, and the peace, privacy, and beauty were unmatched. Each dome is different but has a fresh, modern feel. Adrian has a vision for the land and will keep making it a magical place for visitors. Thanks for the experience, Adrian!
