The garden, pool, and all the different places to sit made this feel like a lovely hidden oasis away from dusty Santa Teresa. Otro Lado Lodge is just off the main road, and it’s only a three-minute walk to the beach and best surfing area, so it’s a great base if you’re here to surf. Our room was spacious and clean, the bed was super comfortable, and breakfast was perfect, with lots of choices. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

We came to Otro Lado this past July as part of our wedding and honeymoon, and couldn’t have been happier with the choice. It’s set far enough back from the main road to be peaceful. The pool was great after a sunny day, the breakfast was tasty, and our room was very clean with a comfortable bed. Everyone was so friendly and helped us with questions about rentals, directions, and restaurants. We’ll be back next time we’re in Santa Therese. Thank you, Selvaggia!

The owners are Italian and had lots of good suggestions for things to do around the area. They also hold yoga classes on site three mornings a week. Breakfast is included and was amazing, especially the pancakes. It’s a sweet little hotel, with tidy, well-arranged rooms, a lush garden full of tropical flowers, and an inviting pool. I’d definitely return for a relaxing stay in Santa Teresa.

The Italian staff were really friendly, and breakfast had plenty to choose from, including bread with Nutella and crepes. The clean, fully equipped rooms are set in two-level bungalows in the jungle. A lovely, relaxing place to stay in Santa Teresa, warmly recommended.

After the incredibly dusty, jarring drive from the ferry, this place felt like a real oasis. It has a beautiful, intimate setting, polite staff, and simple, tasty meals. You do need four-wheel drive for the road to St Theresa, though we thought it was part of the adventure. And if you’re over 50, get ready for an international display of hard bodies. Ah, youth! 😉
