Somos

We didn't stay at the hotel, but rented surf gear here and found it in great shape at a reasonable price. We also had breakfast and lunch. Both meals were tasty, made with fresh ingredients, and the service was great. The brioche French toast was delicious but disappointing for the price: just one piece of brioche, very little syrup, and a few berries. The place has a cool vibe and is definitely a hangout, with lots of young people looking at their laptops and phones.

The food at Somos was incredible, with every dish feeling thoughtfully put together and full of flavor. Javiera, our waitress, made the evening even better. She was attentive and genuinely kind, and kept us taken care of without making us feel rushed. That kind of service really lifts a meal. I'd definitely return.

The place itself has a look I really like, especially the relaxed seating area, and the staff were very welcoming. I went to Somos twice, once for a party and another time to catch up over coffee. The coffee was good, but 6500 colones for a cappuccino and croissant seems steep. The cocktails were a bigger letdown: at around 7000 colones, they didn't feel worth the price. Beer seems the safer choice. It's hard to go wrong with that. It's a nice spot if the prices work for you and you're mostly there for beer.

Elina made us feel at home from the minute we arrived. She was warm, attentive to every detail, and often seemed to know what we needed before we asked. The whole team looked after us so well. We spent New Year's Eve at Somos in Santa Teresa, met some really cool people, and had amazing food with excellent service. It was an unforgettable night.
