The staff and guides we met were kind and polite, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Housekeeping kept the house clean each day and even did laundry when we asked. The infinity pool was cleaned every other day. There were lots of bugs, but that's common in the tropics, so I don't fault the caretakers or owners for that. My husband and I were there for six nights as chefs for a client he works for in Houston. Our downstairs bedroom had an enclosed bathroom and indoor shower, though not every bedroom has an indoor shower. The house has the open-air layout that's common in Costa Rica. Folding glass doors open and close around the infinity pool, while the huge sliding doors in the living and dining area take some muscle to move. They open onto a veranda with incredible ocean views.

Eduardo was a great host, answering our questions and taking care of everything. He even suggested an excellent chef to cook meals at the house. We loved this luxurious property and its very central location in santa teresa. We'll definitely be back!

The views were the best part, and the house is very well designed, but it's poorly maintained. There was quite a bit of dirt, and we found a cockroach in the middle of the room. All the frying pans were damaged, so we had to buy a new one. There was no air conditioning in the living room, though the bedrooms had it. For the price, the place should be spotless, and it wasn't. You need a 4x4 to get there. I wouldn't stay again.

We were extremely happy with our stay. The place was amazing and comfortable, and we did yoga on the terrace twice a day. The sunsets and ocean views are beautiful. It only needed stars for an even better rating 👍
