The location is handy for town amenities, and all the staff were very helpful. We had RM106, with our own pool, which was very nice. The fresh fruit was lovely, but breakfast overall felt uninspired. Costa Rica is known for coffee, yet I can’t say I had a good cup anywhere. Like many hotels we visited in Costa Rica, this one felt tired and dark and could use some sprucing up. The real downside was the road beside the hotel, used as a racetrack by motorbikes or off-road vehicles from 2100 to 2300. It didn’t make a good impression, especially when we were trying to sleep before an early start. A shame, since otherwise four stars would have been possible.

We came across this hotel by chance while touring Costa Rica with my longtime friend, and were very pleased with our visit. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms clean, comfortable, and well appointed, and the food was excellent. We’d definitely stay again.

Finding your way between the buildings takes a map, and the layout isn’t ideal for wheelchairs. The room itself was large and comfortable, with direct access to the pool. The hotel sits at the top of a hill between towns, conveniently close to restaurants and shops, but walking downhill in either direction means an uphill walk back.

Amazing value about 15 mins from Manual Antonio National Park. The food, service, and ambiance were all good. Parking is the one downside, since it’s a tough spot on a narrow road.

Chef Olman made the best chicken soup, and the restaurant was top notch. We also found the beds comfortable and well kept, and the hot water felt perfect after a long day of trekking. Staff were friendly and helpful. The place is in front of a shop, restaurant, and play area that would be great for kids. It felt safe, with several food options nearby and a store for necessities. Indoor safe parking is available. Highly recommend!
