Hotel Flores - Adults Only

The staff were kind and helpful, and we loved watching birds and iguanas in the trees. We even spotted a monkey from the pool on our first afternoon, which was exciting, and heard howler monkeys every morning. The room was super cute and cozy, and we spent the hottest part of the day by the quiet, cozy pool. The Saturday market, beach, and everything else in town were within walking distance. Such a great location. We really enjoyed our stay.

Paola was easy to reach by message, answered our questions, and recommended a good airport shuttle. The hotel is quiet and romantic, with a small pool and lush garden. Our upstairs room had a large covered veranda with sofas out front. The beach, bars, and restaurants are just a few minutes away on foot, but it’s far enough from them to be completely quiet at night. There’s a fridge, two glasses, plates, and cutlery for cold meals in the room, plus a safe that needs four AA batteries. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was good, and there were plenty of towels. There’s a supermarket right across the street. It was a great base for our tour around Guanacaste.

Hotel Flores felt like a paradise within paradise. We felt right at home, almost like royalty, and hardly wanted to leave the glorious pool for the beach. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, with everything we could have wished for, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Its location is excellent too, with lots of good restaurants and bars on the same block and the beach a five-minute walk away. I can’t see myself staying anywhere else on future trips to Tamarindo.

The pool area is probably the best in Tamarindo, with sparkling clean water, palm trees, and lush foliage. Breakfast was the best, the king bed was good, and the room was cleaned daily while we were at breakfast. The rooms aren’t the fanciest, but for the price this lovely boutique hotel still gets five stars from me. Everything was as promised.
