The breakfast was good and filling, and I stayed in the large room with two double beds. It had the basics, but no hand towels, shampoo, hair dryer or TV. I should mention I hadn’t read the description because I only needed a place for one night. The property itself is very nice, but it needs more cleaning, and the room didn’t smell very good. When I asked about the price because Booking showed something different, the owner got defensive. Fine for one night if you don’t need particular services.

The pool was nice, and the stay was good value for the money. It’s peaceful, out in the countryside, but the beaches are still 12-15 km away. You can’t normally cook there, though Anthony made an exception for us. There’s a microwave if you just need to heat something up. Thanks!

The views are amazing, the breakfast is great, and I met some lovely people. I absolutely loved the place and plan to stay again in Tamarindo. A few useful details: this is a higher-end bed and breakfast, not a resort, and bookings say to bring cash only. You can reach Antony through WhatsApp, which is how people generally communicate in Costa Rica. He may be away during the day operating the catamaran for guests, but the chalkboards in the bar area have the information you need when you arrive. If you contact him by email the day before, he’ll explain how things work. He doesn’t pressure you to pay, he just brings the check at breakfast the next morning.
