We’ve had lots of brunches at Soul shine, always made with care and passion, and finally tried dinner. The menu was full of tempting dishes and desserts, so we’ll be back ASAP. The tabouli salad was packed with flavor and addictive. Warm Jerusalem bagel with brown butter mousse melted in your mouth, and the fish cigar had a wonderful mix of flavors. The lamb in grape leaves was delicious, the beet kubeh soup came with tasty lamb dumplings, and the rib eye skewer was tender and cooked just right. Thanks for another culinary adventure!

I’d followed Soul Shine on Instagram for ages before finally making the trip this January. The grounds are beautiful, with tropical birds and howler monkeys appearing at different times of day. Our room was comfortable and very clean, and the food was exceptional. Costa Rica’s one of best beaches is only 10 minutes away, and other lovely restaurants are just minutes from the property. Yael and the staff were so warm and friendly, and did everything to make us feel at home. Yael & Roee have created something really special. We can’t wait to go back.

We found Soulshine at the last minute for our honeymoon, thanks to a local friend’s recommendation, and couldn’t be happier we stayed. From beginning to end, it felt like a dream. The food was excellent and the VIBES were great, as others have said. The owners and staff clearly put so much love and care into the place. To me, that feeling is what makes somewhere truly luxurious. We’re already dreaming about coming back :)

The room itself was really nice and comfortable, but we had a poor first impression and I unfortunately wouldn’t recommend Soulshine. We stayed three nights. As instructed, I sent our arrival time by WhatsApp. We knew the rooms might not be ready until 3 pm, but they told us a time before 3 without us asking. When we arrived, they said we had to pay, even though the room was already prepaid. The woman had the correct name on her computer, so she hadn’t mistaken us for someone else. It didn’t feel friendly. The room still wasn’t ready at the time they’d announced. The girls kept giving us new estimates, but they were wrong three more times. The pool deck is in very bad shape, with big holes in the wood and sharp needles sticking out. Restaurant prices are very high, and it closes from 2 till 6 pm, right during the hottest time of day when you’d want a drink. We ate at other restaurants in the area, where there are many good options.
