The room at Nomad was roomy and comfortable, and the hotel itself is lovely. The neighborhood, though, is really rough. Motorcycles race up and down the street, and music carries on until 3 a.m. Bring earplugs if you want a decent night's sleep. You start wondering if anyone nearby sleeps at all.

If you’re planning to stay in and cook, this place works well. The kitchenette has plates, pans, oil, a kettle, spices, and even a mixer for smoothies. The room itself was good and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. Going out was another story. Once you open the gate, people nearby watch you, seemingly wondering what you’re doing there. The area felt rough and unpleasant, and our walk was a bad idea. The beach was covered in fish bones of all sizes, and I pierced my leg several times even in flip-flops.

We found the fishing village charming and authentic, even though it isn’t a touristy place. You can get amazing fresh fish nearby to cook in your apartment. The accommodation is clean and modern, a nice spot to reset or get some work done. There’s a lovely patio for dinner or a drink, and laundry is free.

The neighborhood had a lot going on and felt pretty colorful. The place itself was new, clean, and cheap, with blazing fast internet. They emailed me an electronic gate opener, my room number, and a door code made from the last four digits of my phone number. Loved it.
