The homemade lunch was wonderful, and afterward they offered us fishing at the tilapia pond. What an adventure! We paid for ATVs and horseback riding and got so much more. The ATV ride was rugged and exhilarating, over beautiful terrain. The road was muddy, bumpy, and treacherous, but also just plain fun. You do get a training session first, so you don't need to already know how to drive an ATV. We then rode horses through what seemed like a thick rainforest, where they were waiting for us. Our first surprise was a magnificent waterfall, and we swam in the river for about 30 minutes. That part was breathtaking. Afterward, we got back on the ATVs for one last exciting spin. This tour is fantastic!

The cabins were really comfortable and well equipped, and having a restaurant there made things super convenient. I had the most wonderful stay at Rancho Las Tilapias. It's the perfect place to experience Costa Rica at its best, with nature, friendly people, good food, and adventure all together. They offer ATV tours, horseback riding, and other walks and views around the ranch. I got to try everything they offer, and it was a super safe and fun experience. I'll definitely come back!

The prices are fair, and there’s Wi-Fi. It’s a cute spot, and you can see the pond where they keep and catch the fish. We had some trouble communicating since everything is in Spanish, but I got by with my basic Spanish. Definitely get the fried tilapia and chicken. We started with just two pieces of chicken, then realized that wasn’t nearly enough and ordered ten more to take away 😂

The cabins were clean and really comfortable, and the forest is kept in great shape, very clean and safe. We had an amazing time on the ATV and horseback riding tour, with lovely views too. Definitely a place I’d visit again.

The tilapia was great, and the prices are reasonable. You can catch a fish yourself for dinner, too. Nice place.
