Love this place.

The pool area itself was nice, but our stay was very uncomfortable. We rented Casita 1 and there was only ONE BATHROOM. I’d booked ahead and made it clear it was for my husband and me. The bathroom was awful, with no shower or bath mat. I paid ₡60,000 for two nights, but couldn’t even enjoy the pool because people were drinking and already drunk, bothering the women and children there. This is meant to be a place for FAMILIES and CHILDREN. I asked the woman at the restaurant if she could speak to them, and she said, “They’re adults and know what they’re doing; I can’t do anything.” Outrageous. Also, they wouldn’t take my $100 bill for the two-night payment. We’re in a tourist area, after all.

Things have changed over the last two years, and the place just isn’t pleasant anymore. We paid 60,000 colones for two nights, but they wouldn’t take a high-denomination bill, a 100-colon bill (50,000 colones), even though this is a tourist area. The pool had drunk people bothering women and children, and my bathroom had no shower and old towels.

The food tasted alright, but it took ages to arrive cold, and getting most things we asked for seemed difficult. The staff weren’t very welcoming, which made the stay uncomfortable. There was also confusion right from the start because nobody was clear about checkout time. The pools looked dirty and poorly maintained. Quite a few things need work, especially customer service and upkeep of the facilities.
