My girlfriend and I spent the last four days of our three-week Costa Rica trip at Dan's place last November, and it was wonderful. Dan helped us make the most of that time with great beach and sightseeing tips, restaurant recommendations, and local contacts for trips away from the usual routes. The cottages were comfortable, and breakfast was lovely, as was the woman who prepared it. Dan and his wife are just great people to spend time with. We especially enjoyed the daily chats and sitting together in the evenings. Cheers!

Breakfast each morning in the central 'rancho' came with lovely fresh local fruit. The cabins are beautifully set up, with comfortable beds, linens, a fridge, and microwave. There’s also a very comfortable two-bedroom house with a full kitchen, good for three or four people. El Paraiso is a lovely Uvita retreat, within walking distance of Cascada Verde and the Bamboo Forest one way, and town’s supermarkets and restaurants the other. There’s a nice restaurant across the road for when you don’t feel like going far. Marino Ballena National Park and Uvita Beach are a short drive away, with plenty of things to do and places to eat. Hermosa Beach is also nearby and well worth a visit. The hosts are very friendly, can arrange tours, and are happy to share information about the area. I highly recommend this B&B and will definitely come back.

I stayed here for three weeks and had a fantastic time. The place was clean and comfortable, with no bugs or dirt issues. It had air conditioning, hardwood floors, hot water, a kitchen sink, refrigerator, and coffee maker, all the essentials. The owners were kind and always ready to help. The room was cleaned every day, and breakfast on the weekends was delicious: French toast, fruit, yogurt, and espresso or regular coffee. Being able to request a time was much appreciated. After three weeks of traveling around Costa Rica, we spent five nights here to relax. Dan and Sue made us feel right at home. The cabinas were clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. El Paraiso is a quiet little oasis within walking distance of good restaurants and shopping. Evenings were warm and peaceful, perfect for talking with new and old friends. I can’t think of a better B&B in the Uvita area.

The bungalows are lovely, and the whole property is kept in great shape. Breakfast feels like soul food, and waterfalls, the river, beaches, and restaurants are all close by.
