Golden Pineapple Villas

The view from our villa looked out over the famous National Park Marino Ballena whale tail sandbar, which we also got to walk across. We were welcomed with champagne and thoughtful touches you might expect from Ritz Carlton and other top rated hotels. The villas were luxurious, the restaurant and staff were excellent, and everything was clean. Golden Pineapple Villas went beyond what we expected and, in our opinion, is the best place to stay in Uvita. Thanks for a wonderful visit.

The staff are what really set this place apart. Even though the hotel was full, the service felt personal and warm, and Paolo looked after us especially well. His kindness, thoughtful attention, and recommendations made the stay memorable. Housekeeping came in a team of 4-5 while we were at breakfast and left the villa spotless without getting in our way. We stayed in a nearly 200-square-meter, two-bedroom villa with its own infinity pool, outdoor bathtubs, a kitchen, and a quality Napoleon barbecue. The spaces were beautifully designed and felt connected to the nature around us. The restaurant was also a highlight, with delicious food and quick, attentive service. At reception, there was a welcoming infinity pool overlooking the ocean, and we were offered a tasty pineapple mimosa. The property sits in the jungle with sweeping views of Uvita and the Pacific. Reaching it means driving up steep jungle roads, so a good car is needed, but we thought it was well worth it. The town is about 20 minutes away by car, and the peaceful surroundings were full of wildlife. This was one of my best hotel stays in Costa Rica, and a special, immersive experience.

You need a 4x4 for the adventurous drive up, but the stay was flawless from beginning to end. The villas and views are even more beautiful than the photos suggest. Leo, Pablo, the Marlins, and the rest of the team cared for the property meticulously and gave us impeccable service. We loved the food and carefully made cocktails, and an in-villa massage at sunset was a particular highlight. Every detail felt considered. I'd happily return and recommend it to anyone after a luxurious escape.

If you mostly want to unwind, this is a lovely place in Uvita. The villas give you a private-feeling space with wonderful views of the famous Whale Tale and the sunsets. Staff were attentive and quick to respond on What’s App, even before we arrived. The food was inconsistent for us, and the property isn't central. You'll need a 4x4 if you want to go on tours or explore on your own.
