Iberostar Coral Esmeralda

We’ve never returned to a Cuban resort before, but we’ll come back here, largely because of Ariel. As head butler, concierge, and jack of all trades, he was the star employee of our trip. His calm demeanour and willingness to do whatever it took made our stay as good as possible. It’s a beautiful, newer and quiet resort on a seemingly endless white sand beach. The rooms are lovely and well appointed, the grounds are kept up, and cleanliness gets great attention. Service was impeccable. There are also swim up rooms.

The food was much better than we expected, and the cigar lounge drinks were phenomenal. The serving staff were so friendly, and we had an honestly relaxing, fun-filled week. This was our second time at the coral, and we came back especially for the entertainment crew and our dear friend Angel. Denise and Ariel, thanks for the awesome rooms!

We took a last-minute trip with friends and had a great time. The price was unbeatable, and the beach was beautiful. The rooms could have been cleaner, but the service in the dining room and elsewhere was so good that I can’t really complain. I just wish it were easier to get clean beach towels. P.S. There are cute cats living here!

We spent a fantastic week at Iberostar Coral Esmeralda and had everything we needed for an easy, relaxing getaway. The food was genuinely good, with a solid range at every meal, and the ice cream was next-level delicious. Danny at our pool was an absolute gem every day, attentive, kind, and warm. Isabel, our chamber maid, was just as sweet and careful with everything she did. They both made the stay feel extra special. We were on the adults-only Coral side but used the gym over on the Selection side. It was one of the best resort gyms we’ve tried, clean and well equipped, and somehow we had it to ourselves every day. Great people, food, and energy. We’d happily return.
