We went with our 5 and 8 year old girls, and there was plenty to keep them busy. It's very family-oriented, or suited to retirees. Daily activities for kids and adults included neon and foam parties and hair braiding. The entertainment was great, and shout out to pool bartender Mario and entertainment staff Dary and Christian, though all the staff were amazing. We didn't go to the theater show. There was a market just outside the resort and a nice bowling alley, $5 per person per game. It was a great first Cuba trip, and we'll be back. After reading mixed reviews we were a little worried, but how busy it is seems to make a difference. It wasn't crazy busy when we went this past week, and we had one overcast, rainy day. We expected little from the food but were pleasantly surprised by all the options throughout the day. The resort is in Cuba, so don't expect gourmet food or perfection. The snack bar had sweet potato chips, fries, and really good chicken sandwiches, plus a churro and cotton candy stand. The restaurants were pretty good. We went to the buffet when it opened or soon after and found a good selection, especially at the pasta, omelette, and smoothie bars. Butter was hit or miss, and when something ran out, they generally didn't refill it. Coffee drinks at the lobby bar were so good. The beach was clean. We avoided the kids' equipment because it looked a bit unsafe. We brought Nutella, peanut butter, ketchup, and snacks, and left a few things for staff. We also brought small care packages and clothes and toys our girls had outgrown, giving them to staff with little ones. They were very grateful. Rooms were cleaned daily, though some public bathrooms sometimes ran out of toilet paper.

It's only been two days, but so far, so good. This is the most stroller-friendly resort I've been to, with ramps everywhere you need them. The food has been very good, and we've left full and happy after every meal. There's lots of choice in drinks, though I know that can change day to day. I've seen Pepsi, 7 up, juices like OJ, pineapple, and maybe punch, plus plenty of pina coladas and cold beer. The staff work hard, and you see the same people at the grill from breakfast through dinner. Daytime entertainment is amazing and interactive. I haven't been to a theater show yet. So far, it's the best resort in Cuba I've visited, and this is my fourth trip.

We stayed January 22 to January 29, 2026, and the Italian restaurant stood out. The staff were warm, attentive, and seemed to really care about making the meal special. The food was fresh and delicious, with generous portions, and service was excellent from start to finish. They were quick, knew the menu, and made us feel welcome. Our room was spotless, maintained well, and cleaned to a high standard every day. Housekeeping was never intrusive. The front desk team was friendly and helpful with questions and recommendations, and check-in and check-out went smoothly. The bar staff were also nice and quick, keeping things relaxed whether we stopped for a drink or wound down in the evening. The whole team made us feel valued. I'd recommend the hotel for good food, comfort, and hospitality. We'll definitely return!

I went on vacation with my two kids and had a nightmare. I want to share an honest account for anyone concerned about discrimination and racism. The room attendant came every morning but didn't clean our room or washroom, even though I left tips and candy on the bed. Three days later I reported it to the manager, but the room was properly cleaned only once, the day before we left. I even asked them to give me the cleaning supplies so I could do it myself. I got food poisoning from the first day through the last and tried to see the so-called doctor, who favored white-skinned people and those who speak Spanish. I almost died at this hotel. My 11 year old son was ignored whenever he asked for food at the pool restaurant. The only time I went to the swimming pool, a staff member I recognized stole my dress. The rooms are very nasty, and all the five stars are from their people and staff. I've been to Cuba many times with my husband and never had a bad experience like this at other hotels. I paid a lot for a SUITE so my kids could be safe, but that didn't happen. My kids say there's no way they could return to Cuba. Now I think I understand why the percentage of black people who vacation in Cuba is very small.

The pools and beach are gorgeous, and everyone was so friendly and nice. The resort was amazing. Adriana, Erik, and Christian from entertainment made the stay extra fun, and were lovely to hang out with. Adriana's in the photo. Can't wait to come back and see them again soon!
